Hey Girl, I’m Shar.
If there's one thing about me, I'm going to find a reason to book a flight. Somewhere along the way, traveling became so much more than just collecting passport stamps.
Travel has been one of my greatest teachers. It's taught me to appreciate different cultures, embrace new experiences, and find endless gratitude in both the little things and the big ones.
My friends would see me on a trip and say, "Girl, where's my invite?" So eventually, I was like, okay, say less!
In 2019, Brown Girls Trippin took its first group trip to Hawaii, and I've been bringing people together through travel ever since.
What started as a small group of friends has grown into a community of travelers who love a good getaway, beautiful places, great food, and even better company.
Today, BGT is my way of sharing everything I love about travel: new perspectives, meaningful connections, and experiences worth talking about. Whether you come solo or bring a friend. Just say yes to the trip. I'll take it from there.
The story.
Brown Girls Trippin was created for women who want to see more of the world and have good people to experience it with. What started as my love for travel and bringing my friends together has grown into a community built around shared experiences, new connections, and really exciting trips. From the places we stay to the things we do, where we eat, every BGT experience is thoughtfully curated with one goal in mind: to make every trip worth taking, worth posting, and worth coming back for.
